Psychedelic Space
Psychedelic Therapy
Psychedelic therapy is an emerging therapeutic approach that utilizes psychedelic substances under controlled conditions to facilitate psychological healing and personal growth. Psychedelics have been traditionally associated with altered states of consciousness and profound spiritual experiences. They can facilitate deep emotional processing and insight, allowing individuals to confront and integrate suppressed emotions, memories, and psychological conflicts.
In the psychedelic space, many people experience profound shifts in perception, cognition and mood. They experience moments of clarity, deep emotional healing, and a sense of unity with oneself and the world. These experiences can catalyze lasting changes in perspective and behavior, paving the way for a more fulfilling life.
What is Ketamine?
Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic that has been around since the early 1960s. It’s used in medical and veterinary practices for its characteristics. Over years of research and clinical trials it’s been discovered to help with cognitive functioning as well. It offers possible benefits in helping to treat a number of mental health problems including: substance dependencies, anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar depression and chronic pain.
While ketamine does induce hallucinations and altered states of consciousness, it differs from classical psychedelics in its mechanism of action and phenomenological effects. Classical psychedelics, such as LSD, psilocybin, and DMT, primarily work on serotonin receptors to produce their characteristic effects. In contrast, ketamine acts on the brain's glutamate systems and NMDA receptors, which are involved in modulating synaptic plasticity and neural communication. Ketamine has shown great success in psychiatric care when used in a controlled therapeutic setting.
What is KAP?
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) combines the therapeutic benefits of ketamine with supportive psychotherapy in a safe and controlled environment. While psychedelic therapy explores alternative pathways to healing, KAP provides a structured framework that leverages the rapid acting antidepressant properties of ketamine alongside psychotherapeutic techniques. The Ketamine dosage in KAP is carefully monitored to achieve specific therapeutic effects without inducing full dissociation or hallucination.

Item desThe ideal timing between treatments can vary depending on the individual and the specific condition being treated. Generally, for ketamine-assisted therapy, an initial series of treatments may be scheduled close together, such as once or twice a week. After the initial series, maintenance sessions might be spaced further apart, ranging from every few weeks to every few months, based on your response and healthcare professional's recommendations. It is essential to consult with your therapist or healthcare provider to determine the optimal treatment schedule tailored to your needs.

It's generally recommended to avoid eating or drinking for a few hours before your ketamine-assisted therapy session. This precaution helps minimize the risk of nausea and vomiting, which can occur as side effects of ketamine treatment.
